Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by the terrible catastrophe in the area along the Gulf Coast of the U.S.

The effect of the hurricane truly is far reaching.  These two articles provide a glimpse at pre-hurricane contingency plans for operation of the National Finance Center (New Orleans) which handles payroll processing for many federal employees.  See
