BOY, HOWDY... when you folks are asked to respond, you don't fool around!!
I'm extremely pleased to announce that at this point, we have a STAGGERING
**53** respondents planning to attend the Listserv gathering, so I hope the
Billy Goat is ready for us all!
BTW, it will be a no-host bar (DUH!!!) so bring plenty of cash and NO, I
won't be collecting money and running a tab for the group... we tried that
once and suffice to say, there were more people that said they were "one
with the Listserv" than you could imagine =) And yes, they do serve food,
but if anyone is thinking of getting together for a dinner afterwards, I
haven't a CLUE what is close by... and it's not uncommon to find walking a
bit "challenging" when leaving one of these events =)
Even with the resounding response thus far, there are a number of names
that are EXTREMELY "conspicuous by their absence" as of yet, so I'd like to
hear from you regulars who haven't responded as well.. I'm planning to print
up name tags so everyone can say "OH.. so YOU'RE XYZ!!!", the phrase heard
more often than not at the Listserv Party!!
Also, a couple of folks have asked if anyone would like to gather in the
Hotel Lobby and walk over together... so if anyone is interested, you may
want to look for some folks that look "Listserv-ish" standing about shortly
before 7 in the Hyatt Lobby... and PLEASE everyone, bring a business card
(to exchange for your name tag =) ) and yes, I am planning to take pictures
and anyone else who wants to should... just plan to send them to me
post-conference.
