I've been following the thread and thought I'd share an idea with you. I work for a large community foundation and one day I received a telephone call from a smaller community foundation in Florida. They asked if we would store their backup application software for them. It comes once a year to me in a federal express box. I stick it in a fire resistant cabinet here. When they ask for it, I return it to them, they update if necessary, and reship it to me.

When a hurricane threatens them, they send their backup data tapes the same way. After the hurricane goes away they call me and I return their data tapes. So far, they've escaped disaster and I've been able to send the data tapes back to the same address. Of course, if they couldn't get back into their workspace I'd also return the application tapes.

It's just a couple of small boxes, the bill is prepaid, and it's been no problem. Seems to work for them. Might be something ARMA members could think about doing for one another.
