CRM Candidates,
Tomorrow, for many of you, is the BIG DAY. The DAY when you open the
envelope and see what case studies the ICRM has prepared for you. Some
of
are still looking for practice questions. Others need something to
break
the tension.
But all I have to offer you is this:
As a consultant you have been hired by a municipality in an arid state
to
evaluate competing proposals for the destruction of electronic media.
The
records systems manager proposes to purchase a large caliber handgun
with an
ample supply of ammunition and carry out the destruction in the
surrounding
quite empty countryside. The mayor proposes a fee based services
contract
with the soon-to-be established Corleone Eliminators Ltd. And the lone
liberal on council proposes to have MHMRA clients shred the media with
scissors, shears, and metal snips as part of a grant-funded vocational
training program. You are to evaluate the effectiveness, practicality,
and
cost effectiveness of each of these proposals; suggest alternatives; and
recommend the one that Council has clandestinely decided upon.
Wishing each of you good luck and success,
Paul R. Scott (who is hoping not to be defrocked over this), CRM
