A good example of a functional disposal authority (thats what we call them
in Australia) is the National Archives of Australia's Administrative
Functions Disposal Authority at
http://www.naa.gov.au/recordkeeping/disposal/authorities/GDA/AFDA/summary.ht
ml.

I should point out my bias in touting this example - Not only is it a
product of my employer, I was part of the team who put it together

I am looking to switch from department / unit schedules that are hard to
keep up to a functional schedule and appreciate any help and guidance
anyone could help me with. I would really appreciate it if anyone as a
schedule layout they can share or a resource for us to get a visual
representation.
