Greetings Everyone,

The Halifax Chapter of ARMA International  is pleased to present it February Program on the following topic:  "Introduction to FOIPOP for RIM Professionals.  The Presenter is Wendy Johnson, Case Analyst, FOIPOP Review Office, Halifax, NS, Canada.  The meeting is being held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 27, 2006 in the Akins Room, NSARM, 6016 University Avenue, Halifax, NS.  

This presentation will include the following learning objectives:
1. Examine the FOIPOP Act
2. Understand of public's right to access
3  Recognize exemptions from the Act
4  Recognize public  bodies' responsibilities, under the Act, in the  collection, use  and disclosure of personal information
5. Understand the relationship of FOIPOP to records and information  management.
