The National Archives and Records Administration, Rocky Mountain Region, Denver, Colorado is offering records management training opportunities against the scenic backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains.  Join us in Park City, Utah, June 6-8, for KA 4 and KA 6 at The Yarrow Hotel Resort & Conference Center.  Park City is a world class mountain resort with fine restaurants, shopping, and recreational activities.  This is a training opporutnity not to be missed! Courses are open to non-federal participants.  While courses focus on Federal recordkeeping the concepts may be beneficial in other settings.   Records Schedule Implementation (KA 4), June 6-7:   This course provides an overview of how to apply the General Records Schedules and other NARA-approved records schedules to Federal records. It covers the key elements of a records disposition program, including the destruction of temporary records, the transfer of records to off-site storage, and the transfer of permanent records to the National Archives.  Recommended for anyone responsible for creation, maintenance and use, and disposition of agency business records, particularly staff who transfer records to records centers or the National Archives. This course is required for NARA's Certification of Federal Records Management Training.   Two day course.   Records Management Program Development, (KA 6) June 8:  This course (KA 6) covers the concepts and practices involved in developing a successful records management program and subsequent evaluations. You will learn how to market and promote your program, including the development of a training program for all levels of agency staff.  Recommended for anyone responsible for managing, operating, or evaluating records management programs and those involved in the development of records management training for agency staff.  This course is required for NARA's Certification of Federal Records Management Training.   One day course.  Registration closes May 23, 2006.
