To echo Sherri and extend the thought,
1. If the carbon is to keep a (paper) record of the sending of the fax, how
about moving to a digital faxing solution that would retain the sent fax in
TIFF format which could then be printed? More expensive than a new
plain-paper fax, but I'd think their fax is getting a bit long in the tooth
anyway.
2. What about a MFP that has native fax capabilities? Again, another step up
in cost, but if they have a copier, and a fax, and a scanner, it might make
sense to consider trading all of them in for a multifunction device that
could send the fax and print a copy of the faxed document.

How about investing a couple of hundred dollars in a new fax machine?

Subject: [RM] Fax Carbon Paper

I have a client who uses an older fax machine that uses a roll of carbon
paper to print the faxes. The had been sending
to a vendor to have it shredded as the fax machine is used to print out
request for services and has personal and
financial information. The carbon is on a roll and is used only once per
print so the financial information is still
available and readable, if someone wanted to steal the information.

The shredding vendor won't shred the carbon because of the damage to the
shredder.

The client is very, very, protective of financial information and does not
want to toss in the waste basket.

You assistance would be appreciated.
