Maybe I am missing something, but over the years organizations I have
worked with have submitted hundreds of thousands of documents into
evidence. Not once have I ever been questioned about whether or not the
document was stored in a unalterable format. On the other hand, I have
been asked several times if the documents are available in their native
or electronic format.

John M, correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe that I have ever
seen anything the states that the evidentiary value of a document stored
on WORM is greater than the same document stored on a hard drive.

On the other hand, I do remember reading something a long time ago by a
Tax Court Magistrate. To paraphrase what I remember: 'Active records
are best evidence, the organizations uses them to make daily business
decisions. If they depend on them, so can we.'
