In my past experience, we never allowed anyone to edit the information
that was indexed other than RIM staff. This was for consistency purposes
as well as for searching within the indexed fields. Otherwise, people
would enter the information in too many different ways which could make
locating information/records an exhausting process. Although, the
administrative staff did give us info that they wanted in the fields.

Subject: Imaging Indexing Procedures

Good afternoon, I have a question for the group regarding indexing in
your imaging operations.

Does anyone do top level indexing by the imaging staff during the
capture process, and then have additional fields indexed by
administrative staff during the routine workflow process?
