Just idle curiosity.  Does combining media types increase LE.  If so,
one might consider sticking acid free paper to cave walls.  If my
calculations are correct the resulting LE should be somewhere in the
neighborhood of 7250 years (500LE+14,000LE/2).

Someone with more experience in vaults should probably confirm my
calculations.  My thought is that caves were the original fire proof
vaults.  And as early man soon learned, sprinkling your archival record
storage area might not be the best idea.

Then again, to here some of the talk yesterday about the age some
old-timers, maybe some have first hand experience ;^)
