One of the scanners we use is a Bell + Howell Sidekick 1400 and it
always jams when it approaches the end of the documents to scan.  The
paper doesn't get stuck, it just won't pull the last page or two unless
we give it a gentle push.  Has anyone else experienced this problem and
is there a solution, other than always pushing the paper?  We have tried
cleaning and replacing parts to no avail.
 
Also, we are looking for another small desktop scanner that can do
approximately 40-50 pages per minute.  We need something relatively
small that will not further clutter an already cluttered desk.  Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
