Hi. This is a plug, of course. :-) But it is a direct response to the 
question. We've been doing tape indexing and recovery work for the National 
Archives and many others for quite a while. (President Nixon's appointment 
calendar was on one tape we did.)

Perhaps we can help or at least offer some suggestions.
