"Alphabet soup" behind a name should mean something significant, in my
opinion.

I'm thinking out loud here so forgive me if I don't have everything in

place.........but what about a multi-tiered certification process 
culminating with the CRM?     Not everyone in RM will have the
experience 
or education (or desire) to become a CRM but needs some alphabet soup 
behind their names to satisfy their employers.    Why not have a set of

exams each devoted to a different level of experience, education etc.
(an 
associate level, a practioner level, a specialist level etc) but 
sanctioned by the ICRM.
