Hi everyone,

While I know we (the listserv) have already 'beat' this subject into
the ground in previous posts, I feel it necessary to point this out
because my AIIM/IMERGE trainer stressed this to us, multiple times,
at a recent AIIM ERM Master program. The ERM/ECM program is NOT a
certification, it is a certificate program. This is different than
the CRM, which IS a certification.

Here is the "fine print", as listed on the AIIM webpage for the ERM
certificate program:

"Please Note: This AIIM Electronic Records Management Certificate
Program is designed to give participants an appreciation of global
best practices of ERM. You should not expect to gain in-depth
expertise in all aspect of ERM from this Program. If you need
in-depth expertise you should refer to specialist courses, references
or expert assistance."

This is vastly different than what a "CRM" certifies.
