Once you leave your room and the double locks are off your hotel room is not private. The maid comes in, the engineer comes in to fix the toilet, the guy comes in to vacuum.  Vendors have hotel staff come in to leave you goodies (yeah).  If you leave the curtains open the guy is on the outside washing the windows.

You are just paying for a good nights sleep. How about those down comforters at the Marriott???
