Bank of Montreal does not currently use an electronic records management
software system. Records in offsite storage are managed using the
vendor's database.

Filenet, not Livelink, is used for workflow, document imaging and
document management.

level--please respond

Hi,

CIBC, Canadian Defence Community Bank and President Choice Financial -
Uses
versatile for its box management. Some documents are scanned using
Kofax
and are viewed by a customer built IBM program. Some of the scans are
done
using bar-codes for indexing purposes and some use OCR. Basically, is a
pretty decentralized program for the entire bank. It at one point was
centralized, however, they closed that area in the 80s. For the past few
years they had been working on Records Management retention policy,
however
as of February it had not been published. Some areas of the bank use
Filenet for report management.

Both TD and Bank of Montreal have livelink, however, I don't know if it
is
used for Records Management, purposes.

Canadian Tire Bank is new on the scene and I am not sure specifically
what
the bank will use, however, I know that Canadian Tire Financial Services
and
Canadian Tire Real Estate Limited did have a strong records management
program in the early 90s. Canadian Tire Limited uses EDI.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Janet

level--please respond

Hello all:

I am trying to find out what like size banks and/or credit unions (our
size
is 7.5 billion) are doing for Records Management.

Is it manual, is it totally software driven, it is a combination or none
of
the above and I need to be enlightened?

Please help---thanks and happy holidays!
