Does anyone else see the irony and humor in the fact that some RM
professionals
can't keep track of their RECMGMT subscription records?
Or that the fairly simple automation of the list seems to defeat some
folks who,
theoretically, should be working closely with IT professionals to
figure out
e-discovery practices?
Is a cultural/generational/technological divide emerging? Or is it
just a local example of
the problem RM pros face everyday?

No offense intended, but you signed up for the list and it is your
responsibility to sign off when you want to leave. Here is a snippet
from the instructions you received the very first time you signed on.
"UNSUBSCRIBING
You may leave the list at any time.
--send command to [log in to unmask] with the message: unsubscribe
RECMGMT-L. Once your request is processed, you will receive confirmation
that you have been deleted from the listserv."
