Peter does cite his sources and usually you go to them directly. You do not want his cites, you want the metodology by which he finds sources. Two different things.

Yes, because I have no right to ask my colleague to do me a favor my way. If Peter wanted to serve us all chocolate chip cookies, I do not think it polite to question the recipe. If you do not like, politely thank him and do not eat another.
If you do not like RAIN, I would simply stop paying Peter as much as you already do. Somehow, from your posts, I think paying him half of nothing might still bother you. So please stop all payments for this service you do not want.
