MS,

My two bits - from the outside - looking in:

1] It appears from what I read - before I delete - is that an overwhelming majority of the list finds the RAIN submissions useful, and in a "democratic" society - the majority generally gets it's way and the minority loses out.

2] On this list - I see only winners who generally appear to gain immensely from a free exchange of information and views - even though they may or may not personally agree with some of what flows through the list - which is a hallmark of democracy. With the exception, of course, of a couple of "losers" - who no one seems to like or care about.

3] I think you would have loved for Peter to have ended each RAIN submission with a disclaimer that the content of each RAIN submission are not necessarily personal views of Peter, but may or may not be the views of the original authors of the articles which are reported in RAIN - or maybe not - as you probably would have had something to say nevertheless - a trait quite common in persons of your mindset.

4] Personally, I have no objection whatsoever to your submissions to the list. For me, it's just another key depression - as I must press the DELETE key - with so much spam and other useless mail flying about anyway. So one more key depression is no big deal.

5] But what I can not fathom for the life of me, is that when no one appears to give a hoot about what you submit to the list - as far as Peter and RAIN are concerned - what pleasure or benefit could you possibly derive from shouting your views from the pulpit about Peter and RAIN at regular intervals - other than for stirring the proverbial pot every now and then - and attract the ire of several people ? Not good karma for you - believe me ! Conversely, I also can not figure why people even respond to your rants and raves and need to press so many keys when a single depression of the delete key would suffice admirably !!

Anyway - feel free and do as you choose - but please remember a simple principle of karma - when you point a finger at someone - there are always three other fingers pointing back at you.

Have a nice weekend you all.

JSD
