Has anyone recently done a cleanup of multiple sites to standardize
treatment of active records?

Like any other large national bank, we have active records at many, many
locations, and would like to accomplish the following:
1. Perform a cleanup at each site to make sure that inactive records are
shipped offsite and non-records and obsolete records are destroyed.  We
have a well-developed inactive records program, but preliminary
investigation indicates that some of our sites are not complying.
2. Standardize active records handling and filing across multiple locations
- within reasonable limits.  We do not want to be the file Nazis.

Has anyone recently completed a similar project?  Interesting in sharing
experiences or referring us to good resources?  In this initiative, we are
looking mostly at paper records.  We have a separate project covering
e-records.  Never a dull moment!
