Jesse, appreciate the response, and I agree with you. For example, your
comment on strains on system performance were spot on. I might add that
our profession sometimes promotes "universal" rules that may not be
practical from a customer standpoint in all environments. Hence my
comment about "buckets".

One thing I would like to emphasize - its natural that these professions
have different perspectives, backgrounds, etc based on the demands of
our daily concerns. I think that is healthy and why - for example - I
often advocate keeping RM separate from IT - in order to maintain that
healthy tension.
