Texas Politics remains as unpredictable as West-Texas weather.  After
apparently standing down yesterday, the Texas House took action last
night......Here are the meeting minutes - if your interested the link to
the bill is noted below the minutes of the meeting.

 

The House Committee on Energy Resources

80th Legislature

February 28, 2007

during reading and referral of bills

Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on February 28, 2007,
the House Committee on Energy Resources met in a formal meeting and was
called to order by the chair, Representative Hardcastle, at 4:57 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hardcastle; Farabee; Crownover;
Chisum; Crabb; Gonzalez Toureilles (6).

Absent:              Representative Corte (1).

A quorum was present.

 

HB 2061

 

The chair laid out HB 2061.

The chair recognized Representative Keffer to explain the measure. 

Representative Farabee offered a complete committee substitute. 

(Representative Corte now present.)

The chair recognized Representative Keffer to close on the measure. 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Crabb moved that HB 2061, as substituted, be reported
favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and
be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote: 

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Hardcastle; Farabee;
Crownover; Chisum; Corte; Crabb; Gonzalez Toureilles (7).

Nays:                             None (0).

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

Absent:                          None  (0).

 

At 5:10 p.m., on the motion of Representative Chisum and without
objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
