Hi Tracey,

The original drawings are usually kept on a permanent basis. We have
recently used a service bureau to film and scan all drawings to CD
format, which is than made available to the engineering departments over
a shared network in the company. Cost per drawing is about $3.00 - 4.00
giving you both a CD and film backup.

Good Luck. - BILL.

Subject: [RM] Engineering Drawings

Good Day Listserv;

Would anyone we willing to share some information regarding Engineering
Drawings?

One of the Engineers in our organization would like to become more up to
date with how drawings are retained, such as media, size, etc. Best
Practices so-to-speak on Engineering Drawings.

Does anyone know of a good place to start to get this information? Any
assistance would be helpful!
