but at the time of the 2004 story we did not have the NARA IG's report.
lets look at this a different way. did Sandy Berger receive
preferential treatment that others who had been caught mishandling
confidential information did not?
take a look at this piece from the WSJ about Larry Franklin.
http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110009887
or what about Ira Deutch?
Remember the IG's report wasn't issued until Dec 2006, which is why
this issue is back on the radar screen
for those who haven't read the report just go to anyone of the
following websites
www.fas.org/sgp/othergov/berger.pdf
http://pajamasmedia.com/upload/2006/12/Berger-report.pdf
or go here to the listserv archives
http://lists.ufl.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0612d&L=recmgmt-l&T=0&P=1810
and if you want to see all the stories related to this case from RAIN
just go to the recmgmt-l listserv's search page
http://lists.ufl.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S1=RECMGMT-L
put (sandy Berger) in the first line, use RAIN in the subject line
then do the search
if you do that search I think you will find that very little was
reported on the Berger incident. shoot even the venerable gray lady -
NYTimes barely reported on the incident
http://shrinkster.com/nkx
note that they don't even have a story about the IG's report
