Keynote Speaker Jessie Wilkins: "Making it Happen on a Limited Budget"
As records must be retained more effectively and for longer periods of time, the visibility of the records program continues to increase. But that doesn't mean that records managers can expect to receive blank checks to make over their programs. Instead, records managers must focus on doing more with less and on how to get the most "bang for the buck".

This address will examine the three traditional constraints to any organizational initiative. First, attendees will understand how to stretch their program dollars as far as possible, including low-cost resources for program planning, templates, training, and advice. Second, attendees will learn strategies for managing the scope of the program including setting the scope, prioritization, and streamlining. Finally, and most importantly, the keynote will identify challenges in time and culture and how records managers can successfully overcome these challenges without breaking their emotional bank. Attendees will leave the keynote with a focus on maximizing their potential, and that of their records program, on a limited budget and direction on sessions to attend to focus their efforts.
