Recycling is part of our RIM mandate, primarily because we require all
paper records disposal to be recycled (including shredded material). I
can also see electronic record keeping promoting a sustainable
environment by enabling telecommuting (from home or satellite
locations), global information access and distribution (no
printing/shipping costs and energy use for shipping/delivery), and
reduced travel/material distribution for project collaboration.

Subject: [RM] Record Management and Sustainability
What records management initiatives have been successful in promoting
environmental sustainability goals?
Does promoting electronic record keeping really promote a sustainable
environment or is ECM just replacing less paper with move servers and or
computer waste?
