Greetings to all from Canada!
This is my first post to the list, so I should introduce myself. I am the
University Records Analyst for Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
The University has introduced Xythos Digital Locker for the use of faculty
and students for collaboration purposes. I have been asked to take a look
at the Xythos Enterprise Document Management package for possible use for
records management.
I have only used its evaluation version of Xythos. And I feel it is
too troublesome
to set retention phases and retention rules in this system. Xythos also doesn't
work well for records that have complicated cut-off criteria. Does anyone have
any experience to share (or advice to offer) on using this system for records
management?
This may well be a topic already covered in past discussions, so if you would
prefer to send responses offline I will summarize and post them. Thank you.
