IMHO the term “electronic records” should be defined in RM Glossary. The 
reasons are:

1) The term is widely used (including legislation),

2) The existence of at least two different approaches: e.g. one would 
classify analogue audio- or videotape (or even a fax) as an e-record while 
the other won’t. The second approach considers “electronic records” and 
“digital records” as synonyms while the first one doesn’t.
