Steve,
Here is my 2 cents on what should be done/is done in some instances by my
company.
------------------------------------------------------------
Do you have valuable papers coverage for your records?
We do on some of our collections/records centers. It depends on the
records stored
How quick do you expect to be contacted by the CRC after a disaster?
I would expect a courtesy call with the basics within 24 hrs and then a
more detailed follow-up as soon as a review of the situation has been done
When do you think that a commercial records center should tell you
specifically which of your records are involved?
Again a courtesy call that I had records involved and then a more specific
notification within a reasonable timeframe after an assessment is done-
probably a couple of days from the ability to determine
What do you expect the commercial records center to pay regarding
stabilization and/or restoration?
Immediate stabilization and then independent assessment by neutral expert
of whether record are salvageable
What do you expect your organization to pay for, regarding stabilization
and/or restoration?
Restoration cost depending on value of records
My 2 cents
