That is actually a good question. I know that as photography (both on
the amateur and professional levels) has increasingly gone digital film
manufacturers have stopped making a number of film stocks (e.g.
Kodachrome 25).

As more folks go to digital imaging I would not be surprised if
microfilm stock would become more expensive and harder to find. I doubt
that it would completely disappear but...

On the other hand I have no idea how many suppliers of microfilm stock
currently exist - it might be such a niche market that there are already
only a couple of manufacturers so the situation may be fairly stable.
