Per our Records Policy and Retention Schedule, we are required to keep
the certificates of destruction for ALL records indefinitely. With the
recent changes in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, this has turned
out to be a good thing. We can provide documentation of which records
were destroyed and that we are following our Policy and Retention
Schedule. I have a centralized repository for them, which are stored by
department in date order. I'd be interested in learning of different
ways of managing these records, as process improvements are always
appreciated.
