David, in conjuction with any technical standards, you should also
look at "Electronic Records as Documentary Evidence" from the Canadian
General Standards Board (CAN/CGSB 72.34). It covers how to ensure the
authenticity, reliability and trustworthiness of electronic records,
no matter how they are generated (i.e. born vs. made digital).
