Glenn Sanders was the first to mention ISO 15489. The full title of
that standard is "Information and Documentation - Records Management".
Part 1 of the standard covers general RM principles and Part 2
provides guidelines for developing a records management methodology.

Although you can't be certified in this standard, as you could for ISO
9000, it's still worth having a copy, given that it is THE standard
for records management.

If your organization doesn't already have it, you can order it from
http://www.iso.org/iso/home.htm.
