ah but you forget about tools like adblocker (a neat little addon for
firefox). blocks virtually all the ads. in fact I had a friend sign up for
Facebook and got annoyed with all the ads on the site. I said what ads??
then realized adblocker plus was doing what it is supposed to. so I told him
about it and he was happy.
so my point is that paper ads (including catalogs) will still be viable for
quite sometime. in fact i order paper catalogs because I scan them faster
than I can the websites. When the websites become as easy to look through as
a paper catalog then the paper might go away.
