Hi Brent:

What are you doing these days? Is there a website, as this sounds useful to my clients.

Hi Kim,
I am the CEO of a technology company in the machine-driven classification
pace. We see the employee-driven approach as problematic for many reasons,
ot the least of which are getting consistent efforts from employees. The
nability to classify creates knowledge collection challenges (poor
anagement of intellectual property) as well as hazy retention management.
Machine classification can do this and provide employees visibility into the
esults.
I am happy to give you more background on the technology if appropriate.

ubject: Records Management Input Process
Hello everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted so let me introduce myself again.
y name is Kim Kaminski and I work for an Aerospace and Defense Company. I
m the Corporate Director of Contracts and am actively working with the
ecords Manager to help improve our records process.
o please do not think ill of me if I show my records management ignorance!

The corporation I'm employed by has over 18000 employees in 22 states.
ur records management database allows end users to enter the information
nto a database. The users selects the title for the record being stored,
nd then enter the files by title. I am curious as to how others are
ntering data into their records systems. Do you have the records personnel
nput the data or do you have the users input the data? Our current process
elies on the end user to itemize the files they are putting into storage
nd we get push back from people that don't want to itemize the information
eing put into storage. If you have the users put in the information any
dvice on how to make that pill easier to swallow? The old maxim garbage in
arbage out is used as an argument to help convince the user to enter the
etailed information.

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Kim Kaminski
