Retired from the Air Force in 1989. Tried it as a Law Firm Administrator but that didn't work out. Called the administrator of another law firm to network for a new job and she offered me the opportunity to move their records center "down the street" to their new offices. I took the 60 day temp job (from the most interesting Records Manager) and then stayed for ten years.
Found that I liked records management because it was common sense. Do what is practical. Have a good reason for doing it. and keep your bosses informed.
It has been an interesting challenge to get people to do what is right, practical and beneficial.
