At my lake house in MO this weekend.

From when I was a kid..., yes sir, yes maam, standing when a lady enters
the room, respect for your elders (except older brothers), football, rodeo,
baseball, basketball, cattle, hauling hay; simpler lifestyle. What I do
not miss..., getting up at 4AM in the winter and riding out and chopping
ice on the lakes and ponds so the cattle could drink, coming home from
football practice dead tired and still having to do chores...

My high school car was a '64 Plymouth Sport Fury; buckets, tach, 4-speed,
duals, positrac rear end.   Came with a Hi-Po 383; twas about worn out;
located a 440-6pack (3 deuces) from a wrecked new 69 Dodge Super Bee. It
was a demo car that a kid had wrapped around a tree. Bought the engine
and Dad and I installed it; along with a new clutch plate and rebuilt
pressure plate. The wreck busted the battery all over the 3 deuces carbs
and intake manifold; messed them up bad. So I used the same 780cfm Holley
double pumper carb and intake from my previous engine. Instead of 390hp I
had about 375hp. Still pretty good. Welding class in HS I built a 4' X 6'
two-wheel trailer as my project. I finished it early, so I fabricated a
set of ladder-type traction bars and installed on my car.

Wish I had that car today.

Best regards, Steve
