Phil, I am nearly 57 and obtained my CRM status January 2011 (just 3 years ago).  It was THE best professional investment I have EVER made for myself.  Even if no one else appreciates the certification, you will, because you took the time to study and sit for the exams and proved to others your PERSONAL value!
