Thanks, Peter.

It was on this day on 10 November 1775 that the Continental Congress
directed that two battalions of Marines be raised, and they were, at the
venerable Tun Tavern in Philadelphia, PA.

As the old saying goes, once a Marine, always a Marine; and every Marine
celebrates two birthdays: the anniversary of his/her birth, and the
anniversary of the birth of our beloved Corps.

Semper Fidelis to all my brother and sister Marines.
