And horses are also "very old technology", Vlad, but the NYPD uses them still -- and, precisely because the horses are very old technology, they are more effective today than they were 100 years ago. And they are cheaper than armored personnel carriers.
I may be a geek of sorts, but I do not feel obligated to use the "latest technology".
Yammer MAY foster "a huge increase in collaboration and sharing of ideas, etc.", but if subscribers have to drop out of the listserv because they don't have convenient access to Yammer then, IMNSHO, the alleged increase in collaboration (etc...) is much less valuable.
