I wanted to send out a farewell to all my RIM colleagues. I'll be staying on the listserv until sometime next week, but I know many are taking days around the holidays off and I wanted to reach as many as I could before I left. It has been a pleasure meeting and learning from so many of you. I cherish my years in ARMA, both as a member and the three years I served on the Board of Directors. Serving our members was the greatest honor I could have received. As many of you know I will retire from serving as a Department of the Army Civilian after 41 years, 10 months, and 14 days. The majority of my time as an Army civilian has been in the field of Records and Information Management. I also take great pride in serving the men and women who defend our Nation on a daily basis. I hold the Army Civilian Corps Creed near and dear to my heart. It reads:
I am an Army Civilian - a member of the Army Team I am dedicated to our Army, our Soldiers and Civilians I will always support the mission I provide stability and continuity during war and peace I support and defend the Constitution of the United States and consider it an honor to serve our Nation and our Army I live the Army values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage I am an Army Civilian
As I go into retirement, I will not be idle at all. My husband and I plan on doing some traveling. I'm really big into genealogy, so I want to do more research (still digging in old records).
