What do your organizations do with the email messages of departed
employees (not dearly departed necessarily, just anyone who has left the
organization)?
Besides the usual task of shutting down the account, does your email
administrator do anything with the stored email messages that might be
(and probably are) organization records? Does anyone review the messages?
Does anyone check for messages that might be "on hold"? If you are
managing email messages with your organization's record retention
schedule, how do you know if a message that becomes eligible for disposal
is flagged for longer retention due to a "hold"?
