Comments from the Houston area.
I am working with the local program committee to put together an ISG track at our Chapter conference. I sent a letter to all the ISG content managers simply asking for two hot topics and if possible, two experts in their industry that I could contact. I thought they would be as excited as I to bring the ISG to the local venue. I am sorry to say the response was sparse. I did get a response from Energy (of course, this is Houston), Legal, RM Storage Services and Government but that was it! With the medical center, banks, accounting firms, etc. in this area, I thought I would get some suggestions from the ISG leaders.

The focus that the ISGs should provide could be some of the most beneficial for our membership. So many of the sessions offered at our educational sources are "very interesting" but applying the topic to ones industry really makes it "meaningful".

My hat is off to Mimi and others that are working on the Chicago conference - they are doing a good job. Maybe the focus of the ISG need to come down to the regional level for effectiveness.

well that is my $.02 worth...
