I agree with Lee on needing Legal industry information.

Also, agree that by state would be better than region.

I would like to see:
-- size of staff
-- number of offices managed over how many states

What position levels report to you -
-- records manager, how many _____ average salary _______
-- records center supervisor, how many _____ average salary _______
-- records retention supervisor, how many _____ average salary _______
-- records clerks, how many ___ over how many offices _____ average
salary _______

The last question should give us some idea of responsibilities of
position title.

Ray: We desperately need an industry breakdown that is a little more
specific than just non-profit, corporation, government, etc. At the
very least, could we have a separate industry category for Legal? Law
firms are not corporations, so the data in past years has been of
limited use to us. ARMA's Legal ISG is one of the largest in terms of
membership, and if we had a separate industry breakdown for Legal,
coupled with the geographic breakdown, I can guarantee better
participation. What do you think?

The 2005 Records Management Salary Survey is under development and
should be available next week. I need from you some suggestions for
possible questions and other choices for questions. What have you always
wondered about?

Positions - what are the titles that should appear under What is your
present position? We need some industry break downs (non-profit,
corporation, government
etc)
