Job Description:
Leading consulting company in the Philadelphia area is seeking a CRM
(Certified Records Manager) to participate in a Document & Records
Management Strategy initiative for our client in the Insurance industry.
The right candidate should be able to liaise with the company's legal
department, business units, and technical staff to formulate business
requirements for the next generation Document and Records Management
solution, including policies, procedures, and processes.

Certified Records Manager experience is required.  At least 10 years
experience, preferably with Property and Casualty Insurance vertical
expertise.  Familiarity with ISO standards for Records Management.

Qualifications:


*       10+ years work experience in records and information management

*       Degree in Business, Library/Information Science or related field, or
equivalent experience

*       Certified Records Manager Preferred

*       Consulting experience in a client deliverable environment


 Knowledge and Skills Requirement:

*       Strong knowledge of records management principles

*       Strong knowledge of insurance/re-insurance, litigation support and
claims processing

*       Prior content analysis experience

*       Prior development of records indexing strategies for intelligent
scanning experience

*       Prior taxonomy development and metadata identification experience

*       Highly developed information technology background

*       Understanding and prior experience of the following a plus:


*       Document management

*       Workflow / collaboration

*       Intelligent document search

*       Document scanning

        1.3     Scope of the Project/Deliverables

        We are seeking the services of a Vendor that can improve upon our
existing record systems.   Currently our historical data resides in a
variety of different locations and media types, including paper files,
electronic documents, images, databases and application-specific formats.

        The goals of this project will be to focus specifically on two
aspects of our record keeping management.

        A - Develop a comprehensive strategy for improvements to our data
management system.
B - Determine the technical architecture required to support the strategy

        Work with all departments, as well as, external sources, including,
but not limited to, outside counsel, with respect to the following:

*       Media types may include paper records, imaged files, electronic
documents, email, transactional application data and tape backup/archived
data stored on and off-site.

*       System interfaces may include  applications, external document
storage vendor applications, Imaging applications, Email applications and
Backup/Archive systems

*       Analysis and Strategy must incorporate and adhere to acceptable
standards related to document handling and retention.





        Deliverables
As part of this project we are looking for the Consultant to lead the effort
to analyze the current state of our data management policies/procedures then
provide a comprehensive data management strategy and technology
recommendation(s).  In order to meet this need, we expect the Consultant to
provide the following deliverables:

.       Current Analysis of our records and data management policies,
procedures, workflows and tools.
1       Data Management Strategy that will:
.       Enhance our Records Management, Document Management and Records
Retention policies and procedures for data based on type and priority.

1       Suggest  improvements to processes, workflows, indexing and data
storage formats required to ensure all data is created, managed and stored
in a manner that will provide efficient search and retrieval of data in the
future

.       Technical Architecture that will provide improved comprehensive
solution for automating workflow, enforcing data management standards and
providing robust search and retrieval capabilities.

.       The architecture shall include tool recommendations and provide a
high-level design for a full production deployment that includes security
and disaster recovery design, hardware/software licensing requirements and
development/support resources required to support this implementation.

.       Business Case Analysis that outlines the costs and benefits
associated with implementing the recommended strategy and tools.
