I hate paper :>)
Kofax is capture software; we use it; it is considered the Cadillac.
it is not a storage mechanism. There needs to be a repository of
electronic or digital documents. Most EDMS systems use, or have
capability of tying to Kofax.

In answer to the question:
I am a new Kofax user. We have documents that contain information that
effect many different client accounts- so the document is currently
duplicated and placed in a paper client file. The way we have kofax
set
up for imaging - we can only profile one of the account numbers
listed-
we cannot duplicate the document as far as I can tell and create
multiple profiles for the multiple accounts listed. How can we
duplicate
the tiff to be able to profile it multiple times within Kofax. There
is
talk of finding the tiff in rightfax and making paper copies- I'd like
to avoid that.
Here is my answer:
Is the issue in Kofax or in the back end repository? We have
documents
that are scanned with Kofax and stored in the FileNet repository with
multiple account numbers (main issue is the way FileNet handles
multivalue fields). When a query is done for documents related to
account 123 or 567, the document is responsive.
Check to see if that is possible given the components you are using.
If
the documents belong to the same Record Series and have the same
retention period, it seems wasteful to store extra copies or (heaven
forbid...and what would Steve say??) print and make more paper
copies!!
