I normally ignore political comments on this forum but this last
sentence caught my attention.  Couple of observations:

First, there is no evidence that all communication, as you state, is
being listened to.  I've seen a great deal of speculation but that's all
that it is that.  

Second, I find it very interesting is that many of the same individuals
who are complaining about this program are part of the same group that
ripped the government for not doing enough to prevent 9-11.  They want
their cake and eat it too.

I spent two tours in Germany and had a chance to visit Berlin both
before and after the fall of the wall.  I also had the opportunity to
speak with in-laws (my wife is German) who lived in East Germany until
after the reunification.  What I learned is that freedom is not easy and
cheap; sometimes one must be willing to make sacrifices.  Unfortunately,
many in this country take freedom for granted.  

Count me as one of those who willingly will give up some of my privacy
and freedom if it means keeping our country secure; better than the
alternative.  

Sorry to all for the diatribe - anyway, now its time to our regularly
scheduled program...
