if there is no law or regulation that specifies a retention period for
security camera images then your organization can establish the
retention period based upon the operational, fiscal, legal,
administrative or historical needs for the records. Once you have
determined an appropriate retention period then it needs to be
published on your retention schedule and as part of your
organization's policy.
BUT remember that you may need to retain the images if they may be
subject to discovery as part of litigation.
