This came out from ARMA to its members, and I thought maybe some of you
that are not members of ARMA might be interested in participating.
Although the announcement came from ARMA Intl., the program is open to
anyone wishing to participate.

Support Federal Acceptance of RM Requirements

ARMA International encourages you to join in the effort to get
functional requirements for records management services (RMS) included
in CORE.gov, the repository for re-use for the federal enterprise
architecture (FEA).

The effort is being led by the Object Management Group's (OMG)
Government Domain Task Force. ARMA International recently joined the
task force in support of the 19 federal agencies that publish functional
requirements for records management services. The RMS Program
coordinates with federal agency participants to ultimately acquire one
or more RMS components for inclusion in the FEA.

As mentioned above, the group is working to get the RMS requirements
included in CORE.gov. However, one of the requirements for inclusion is
that there be interest from the industry in addition to the agencies
that collaborated on the requirements.

If you are interested in participating in the community of interest in
support of this effort, please sign up at the OMG support website

volunteers to submit use cases in order to further develop the
implementation models that will actually create RMS. Further information

*	Serve as a community of interest in the application of model
driven architecture (MDA) and other OMG specifications to governmental
organizations in civilian, defense, and intelligence sectors

*	Recommend technology specifications based on OMG's model-driven
architecture that enable interoperability, reusability, and modularity
in government systems

*	Provide advice, consultation, and support to the OMG in the
development of specifications applicable to government systems in
particular

*	Form and coordinate government-specific working groups within
the Task Force tailored to address the particular needs of specific
